Heaps of things happened recently.
No doubt, the most devastating one would be the flood crisis in Queensland and Brisbane.

It was the worst flood in Australia's history.
Numerous homes and infrastructures were submerged in the flood water where only the roofs could be seen.
Heartbreaking pictures shown on the news forces me to question the many things in life.
You could have worked really hard throughout your life and finally succeeded in pursuing your dream, had a good career and built up a great home and family. It takes years and years of hard work to reach that goal. However, natural disaster only takes one minute, or even less than that, to destroy everything that you had. It shatters your home, your possession, your dreams, your hopes, your everything...
Imagine how that feels.

We were fortunate to be where we are now.
Whatever unhappiness that may come to us, we should always bear that in mind that we're the fortunate ones.
Because we had a proper shelter, a house to live in, no unpleasant smell, no mud on our floor.
Do not neglect the little things that we had, because who knows when you'll start to regret when they're all being taken away.

Victoria wasn't affected by the flood, but the cyclone that'd hit Queensland send storms all over Victoria and flooded several suburbs.
I was working when the storm hits us. Water kept gushing into the restaurant, flooding the kitchen, toilet, entrance, as well as a third of our dine-in area.
Many places had already been flooded and the power was out, hence, the restaurant was packed with customers and it was chaotic.
Several customers talked among themselves while waiting for their food, discussing about how bad the storm was. I heard it blew off the roof of a shopping centre, which was only a few kilometres away. It was shocking how destructive a storm could be.

The rain persisted for quite a while until late night. Then another one comes when everyone's asleep.
That night, I dreamt that my house was flooded.
